Beth Anne Campbell
First of Her Name, The Grit Whisperer, Queen of Bacon, Supreme Goddess of Getting Sh*t Done, Khaleesi of the Great Corporate Sea, Giver of No F*cks, Princess of Pork, Breaker of Silence, and Mother of Hats
I, Beth Anne Campbell, am a former corporate queen (some might say prisoner) who traded in her tiara for a pen and a microphone. Or more accurately, the tiara was ripped away when I was laid off in 2023 after more than two decades as a successful professional in corporate tech.
After a few months of panic (corporate tech is good money, I cannot lie) I eventually realized that the stress of working in unfulfilling roles with horrible leaders and zero creativity was taking its toll on my body and soul. So, one day I made the decision to pursue happiness over a big paycheck.
I never looked back. I am now living my dream life of being a full-time podcaster and author.
For eight months out of the year I host a weekly LIVE podcast called “The Thirsty Professional,” where my guests and I get ridiculously blunt about our careers, purpose, and passion.
My other life is writing, which is my heart and soul. I published two nonfiction books while I was still working my corporate job, then finished my first novel in 2025. I also helped my uncle publish his book about recovering from abuse and addiction.
Born and raised in the great state of Michigan, I currently live in Virginia with my awesome husband, Sean, and our silver Labrador retriever Moxie. While I will always be a mitten girl at heart, I love living in Virginia.
I am slightly rebellious, harmlessly sarcastic, and hats are my thing. Oh, and I have been known to drop an f-bomb or two (or thirty). Jigsaw puzzles, bacon, jazz hands, and baby animals… these are a few of my favorite things.
Finally, I am an inclusive, pro-DEI, LGBTQ+ ally and supporter, proud feminist, science lover, and progressive thinker.
In my spare time, I can usually be found working on my next book or using my voice to make the world a better place.
